On 22–23 April 2026, the LIFE PINNACARE project participated in the International LIFE Project Conference held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event brought together representatives of LIFE projects from across Europe, along with researchers, policymakers, and environmental professionals working to address some of the continent’s most pressing environmental challenges.

During the conference, the LIFE PINNACARE team presented the project through an oral speed presentation and a scientific poster, highlighting its work on the ecological restoration of Natura 2000 marine sanctuary areas and the conservation and recovery of Pinna nobilis, one of the Mediterranean Sea’s most threatened endemic species.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to share the project’s latest progress, exchange experiences with other LIFE initiatives, and discuss innovative approaches to marine habitat restoration and biodiversity conservation. It also strengthened collaboration with experts and organizations working on complementary conservation actions across Europe.

Participation in international events such as this is an important part of LIFE PINNACARE’s commitment to disseminating project results, promoting knowledge exchange, and contributing to the collective efforts to protect Europe’s marine ecosystems.
